Our outreach programs extend throughout the community in schools, nursing homes, community partners, and more.

Creating Awareness

Whether it is economic disparities, health issues, or educational opportunities, we create and support awareness around the issues that impact the community.

A Message from Our President

Welcome to the Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter website of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!

We are a private, not for profit organization founded in 1913 by twenty-two trailblazers at Howard University with a vision for sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Our purpose is to provide assistance and support to local communities. In March of 1913, our Founders participated in the Women’s Suffrage March in Washington, D.C.  Since that time, over 300,000 women have joined this illustrious organization, and we now have over 1000 collegiate and alumnae chapters in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the Republic of Korea.

The Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter (CAAC) was chartered on November 9, 1996,  by twenty-eight phenomenal women. We are approaching 30 years of promoting scholastic achievement, personal and professional development, and public service to those in the areas of: Conway, Faulkner, Lonoke, Pulaski, Saline and White Counties in Central Arkansas.

CAAC’s service projects are aligned with our Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness and Involvement
• Physical and Mental Health
• Political Awareness and Involvement

It is always our desire to partner with businesses and community organizations whose aim is to effect positive change in our service areas. Our membership is comprised of diverse and formidable college-educated women committed to using their knowledge and professional skills to build up and serve others. Please feel free to contact us for partnership opportunities.

Joyfully yours,
