Chapter President
Welcome to the Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter website of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!
We are a private, not for profit organization founded in 1913 by twenty-two trailblazers at Howard University with a vision for sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Our purpose is to provide assistance and support to local communities. In March of 1913, our Founders participated in the Women’s Suffrage March in Washington,D.C. Since that time, over 300,000 women have joined this illustrious organization, and we now have over 1000 collegiate and alumnae chapters in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the Republic of Korea.
The Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter (CAAC) was chartered on November 9, 1996 by twenty-eight phenomenal women. We are approaching 25 years of promoting scholastic achievement, personal and professional development, and public service to those in the areas of: Conway, Faulkner, Lonoke, Pulaski, Saline and White Counties in Central Arkansas.
CAAC’s service projects are aligned with our Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness and Involvement
• Physical and Mental Health
• Political Awareness and Involvement
